Kronoa progressive cavity pumps are rotary positive displacement pumps that belong to the volumetric pumps and have the following main features:

Self-priming, with excellent pumping speed.
Reversible direction of rotation
Low pulse dosing
Ability to generate high pressures.
Pumping capacity with wide viscosity range

Kronoa pumps are characterised by their high-quality design and excellent mechanics and are present in water treatment, biogas, paper mill, food, and industry in general.
We pump from smooth liquids to viscous or highly consistent media, with pressures and temperatures up to 48 bar and 135ºC.

Suction pumps

Kronoa S Series

Probably the most common design developed for pumping liquids. It is a design with flange-to-flange connection and large suction capacity (-0.9 bar), compatible with both European and American standards, emphasising an international design.

It is a completely modular design with 4 inspection ports, 2 on each side, with a quick disassembly system EDS and a fully standardised IEC drive.

Its rugged mechanical design makes this pump ideal for the toughest applications involving highly abrasive, viscous, or high working pressure liquids, sludge, slurry, digestate, bentonite or other industrial applications, while significantly reducing maintenance costs compared to other equipment.

Kronoa offers the BG series, pumps equipped with two dilution teeth mounted just before the liquid enters the rotor-stator, which break and crush large solids of organic origin. This system is called BioCrush.

Hopper Pumps

Kronoa H Series

Probably one of the most common pumps in industrial processes that need to pump consistent, highly viscous, and dewatered fluids.

Progressive cavity pumps with a large hopper and a feeding screw connected to the rotor and stator area. They are equipped with a large diameter and thick blades, which significantly reduces the possibility of bridge formation.

The suction body of the pump, manufactured in different sizes, extends to enter the area of the rotor and stator in a conical removable tunnel, from which, through its disassembly, it is easy to access the disassembly system of the rotor, facilitating its maintenance.

Optionally, the H-Series can be equipped with the Biocrush, which makes it possible to transport and dilute large solids in various industrial applications, e.g. vegetable pieces, fruits, both in food industry processes and in the biogas sector as a basis for energy production.

Vertical pumps

Kronoa V Series

Probably one of the most unknown designs, but one that solves the most extreme applications, such as the suction and pumping of a horizontal suction pump that has to suck from several metres away.

The Kronoa® KRN Vertical model is designed for the emptying of liquid reception tanks, usually with residues and wastewater, carrying floating greases from decanters, oil-laden with hydrocarbons, or slurry settling ponds/lagoons on farms. They are designed and manufactured to measure the depth of the tank, being able to reach up to 5 metres.

Optionally, and on demand, we can manufacture Kronoa vertical pumps in a wide variety of stainless steels, according to the most demanding requirements of the installation.

Mixer pumps

Kronoa BioMix Series

Robust mixing progressive cavity pump for mixing substrates and subsequent pumping into the anaerobic digestion process or other industrial applications, with the aim of reducing the proportion of dry matter in the main substrate to be pumped.

Fully modular design with quick disassembly system and fully standardised IEC drive.

The Premium BioMix series is characterised by its robust mechanics and special design with a large blade thickness. It is ideal for the most complicated applications, pumping abrasive liquids with high viscosity and high dryness, such as dewatered sludge, different substrates, and various industrial residues such as pulp or pastes.

Due to the high probability of improper medium arrival, all pumps of the BioMix mixer series have an integrated decanting system in the tunnel area, designed for the removal of the heaviest solids.
